이번에 가족과 함께 베트남의 아름다운 섬 푸꾸옥으로 여행을 다녀왔습니다.

여행 준비 과정부터 항공사 선택, 기내에서의 경험까지 여러모로 기대가 컸던 만큼 기억에 남는 시간이었어요.

푸꾸옥은 아름다운 해변과 자연경관으로 유명한 휴양지로, 가족여행지로도 많은 인기를 끌고 있죠.

이번 여행은 특히 대한항공 이용하여 다녀왔는데, 기내 서비스부터 좌석의 편안함까지 만족스러운 점이 많아서 이 경험을 공유해보고자 합니다.

대한항공 KE487, KE488편 탑승기

먼저, 저희가 선택한 항공편은 대한항공이었습니다.

왕복으로 A330 기종을 이용했는데, 이 기종은 좌석 배열이 2-4-2로 되어 있어 가족 단위 여행객들에게 아주 적합했습니다. 특히 4인 가족인 저희에게는 이 좌석 배열이 너무 편리했어요. 아이들 둘과 함께 앉아도 서로 불편함 없이 앉을 수 있었고, 통로 쪽 좌석이 하나씩 있어 화장실에 가기에도 매우 편리했습니다.

또한 의자에 머리를 기대는 시트도 가벼운 소재가 아니라 움직임이 없다보니 거슬리지 않고 편했답니다.

출발하는 KE487편에서는 기내식 메뉴로 비빔밥과 고기 메뉴 중 선택할 수 있었는데, 저는 비빔밥을 선택했습니다. 대한항공의 비빔밥은 기내식으로도 유명하죠. 간단하지만 적당한 양과 맛으로 기내에서 부담스럽지 않게 즐길 수 있었습니다. 특히 기내식으로 나오는 다양한 반찬도 깔끔하고 정갈해서 먹기에 좋았습니다. 고기를 선택한 일행의 반응도 만족스러웠어요. 전체적으로 가족 모두가 기내식을 무리 없이 즐겼답니다.

또한 아이들 기내식도 미리 어플로 스파게티와 치킨바베큐 중에 선택해 놔서 편했어요.

돌아오는 KE488편에서는 아침 기내식으로 죽 또는 스크램블 메뉴가 제공되었어요. 저는 속이 편안한 죽을 선택했는데, 아침에 먹기 딱 좋았습니다. 기내식으로 나오는 죽은 자극적이지 않고 가볍게 먹기에 좋았으며, 아침 시간대에 소화에 부담을 주지 않는 메뉴여서 매우 만족스러웠습니다. 다른 가족은 스크램블을 선택했는데, 함께 제공된 빵과 과일로 구성된 간단한 아침 식사가 괜찮았다고 하더군요. 기내식의 양과 질이 모두 적당해서 크게 무리 없이 즐길 수 있었던 것 같습니다.

기내 서비스와 편의 시설

 

저희가 이용한 대한항공 A330 기종의 좌석은 넓은 편이었고, 비행 내내 편안함을 유지할 수 있었습니다. 비행 시간 동안 자리를 벗어나지 않고도 편하게 앉아 있을 수 있었고, 무엇보다 기내 서비스가 인상적이었습니다.

 

먼저, 기내 좌석마다 담요가 비치되어 있어 비행 내내 따뜻하게 지낼 수 있었어요. 야간 비행기였기 때문에 긴 시간 동안 추위를 느끼지 않고 편하게 쉴 수 있었습니다. 또한, 헤드셋도 나눠주는데, 어른용과 어린이용이 각각 준비되어 있었어요. 저희 아이들은 비행 시간이 길어질수록 지루해할까 걱정했는데, 어린이 전용 헤드셋을 주어서 크기가 맞고 귀에 무리가 가지 않아 잘 사용했답니다.

그리고 대한항공에서 특별히 준비해 준 어린이용 두들북이 정말 유용했어요.

아이들이 비행하는 동안 물로 색칠을 할 수 있는 두들북을 제공해주어 덕분에 긴 비행 시간 동안 아이들이 지루해하지 않고 잘 놀 수 있었습니다.

또한 아이들한 위한 영상들도 가득해서 아이들이 즐겁게 비행할 수 있었답니다.

아이들을 위한 작은 배려가 느껴져서 부모로서 매우 만족스러웠습니다.

미리 체크인과 수하물 서비스

여행 준비 과정에서 편리했던 부분 중 하나는 미리 체크인을 할 수 있었다는 점이었어요. 대한항공의 어플을 통해 미리 체크인을 할 수 있어서 공항에서 줄을 서서 기다리는 시간을 절약할 수 있었습니다.

또한, 수화물은 인당 23kg까지 체크인이 가능하여 짐 걱정 없이 여행을 준비할 수 있었어요. 가족 여행에서는 짐이 많이 나올 수 있는데, 여유로운 수하물 허용량 덕분에 필요한 물건들을 충분히 챙길 수 있었습니다.

게다가 셀프 체크인 서비스가 가능해서 시간 절약도 되고, 여행 시작부터 기분 좋게 출발할 수 있었습니다.

푸꾸옥 도착과 여행

푸꾸옥은 베트남에서도 손꼽히는 휴양지로, 맑은 바다와 아름다운 자연 경관이 매력적인 곳입니다. 푸꾸옥 공항에 도착하자마자 따뜻한 공기가 저희를 맞이했어요.

또한 공항에서부터 빈펄 원더월드 리조트의 픽업 서비스로 이동도 순조로웠고, 날씨도 9월, 10월 우기라고 해서 걱정했는데 걱정과는 달리 밤에만 비가와서 아주 즐겁게 즐겼습니다.

한국에서는 10월이 푸꾸욱 우기라 비추한다고 하지만 푸꾸옥 현지인은 10월이 너무 덥지도 않아 푸꾸옥을 즐기기 딱 좋다고 이야기 해주었답니다.

푸꾸옥에서는 가족과 함께 즐길 수 있는 액티비티도 많아서, 아이들과 함께하는 여행이 더욱 풍성했답니다.

 

해변에서의 여유로운 시간, 호텔에서의 편안한 휴식, 그리고 맛있는 현지 음식까지 푸꾸옥에서의 여행은 그야말로 완벽한 휴양이었어요. 특히 아이들은 맑고 따뜻한 바다에서 마음껏 뛰어놀 수 있어서 여행 내내 웃음이 끊이지 않았답니다.

Korean Air Flight Experience to Phu Quoc, Vietnam

I recently traveled with my family to the beautiful island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam. From the preparation stage to choosing the airline and the in-flight experience, it was an unforgettable trip that exceeded our expectations. Phu Quoc is famous for its stunning beaches and natural scenery, making it a popular destination for family vacations. For this trip, we flew with Korean Air, and I was very impressed with everything from the in-flight services to the comfort of the seats, so I wanted to share my experience.

Korean Air Flights KE487, KE488

First, we chose to fly with Korean Air.
Outbound Flight: KE487
On the outbound flight KE487, the in-flight meal options were bibimbap or a meat dish. I opted for the bibimbap, which is a well-known and popular choice on Korean Air. It was simple yet flavorful and came in a perfect portion size that wasn’t too heavy. The side dishes were also neat and tasty, making the meal a pleasant in-flight dining experience. My family members who chose the meat dish were also satisfied with their meals. Overall, everyone enjoyed the in-flight food without any issues.
For the kids, we pre-selected their meals using the airline’s app, choosing between spaghetti and chicken barbecue, which made things more convenient.

We flew on an Airbus A330 for both the outbound and return flights. The 2-4-2 seat configuration on this aircraft was perfect for family travel. With four of us in our family, the seating arrangement was ideal. We could sit together without feeling cramped, and with aisle seats on each end, it was easy to get up and go to the bathroom without disturbing others. The headrest was also firm and didn’t shift around, so it was comfortable to lean against during the flight.

Return Flight: KE488
On the return flight KE488, we were served breakfast, with options of porridge or scrambled eggs. I chose the porridge, which was light and easy on the stomach—perfect for a morning meal. It wasn’t too strong in flavor, making it an ideal choice for an early flight. My family members chose the scrambled eggs, which came with bread and fruit, and they were happy with the simplicity and balance of the meal. Once again, the portion sizes and quality of the food were just right for an in-flight meal.

In-Flight Service and Amenities

The seats on the Korean Air Airbus A330 were spacious, and we stayed comfortable throughout the flight. I was able to sit comfortably without having to move around too much, and the in-flight service was particularly impressive.

Each seat came with a blanket, which was nice since it was a night flight, and we stayed warm and cozy throughout the trip. The airline also provided headsets, with separate ones for adults and children. I was initially worried that my kids might get bored during the long flight, but they were given child-sized headsets that fit perfectly and didn’t hurt their ears. This allowed them to watch movies and stay entertained for hours.

One of the highlights for my kids was the doodle book provided by Korean Air. It’s a special coloring book that uses water, which kept the kids engaged and entertained during the flight. Additionally, the flight had plenty of kid-friendly movies and shows, making it easy for them to enjoy the trip. As a parent, I truly appreciated these small but thoughtful touches that made the journey smoother and more enjoyable.

Pre-Check-In and Baggage Services

One of the conveniences we enjoyed during this trip was the ability to check in ahead of time. Through the Korean Air app, we were able to check in before arriving at the airport, saving us from having to wait in long lines. Each person was allowed up to 23kg of baggage, which was more than enough for a family trip. With plenty of baggage allowance, we could pack everything we needed without worrying about weight restrictions.

Additionally, the self-check-in service was available, making the process even faster and more convenient. It was a great way to start our trip on a positive note, without the stress of long lines or complicated procedures.

Conclusion

Overall, this family trip to Phu Quoc was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Korean Air played a big part in making the journey comfortable and enjoyable. The Airbus A330 was perfect for family travelers with its convenient seat configuration, and the in-flight services ensured that our kids had fun while we were able to relax a bit. The small but meaningful touches, like the kids’ headsets and doodle books, were especially appreciated.

The pre-check-in and baggage services were also incredibly convenient, allowing us to start our trip smoothly without any hassle. Phu Quoc itself is a fantastic destination for a family vacation, and flying with Korean Air made the journey even better.
